Hello BitchBuzzers, your friendly neighborhood sex blogger here with your bi-weekly column on all things hot and wired. I've actually been a bit under the weather lately, suffering from some flu/upper chest/sore throat/fever/generally feeling crappy type thing for the past week which has precluded my brain from having many original thoughts.
You see I've been doped up on cough medicine and sleeping most of my days. So instead of writing some pithy and insightful post on some obscure or controversial topic of sexuality, I would like to round up and direct you to some other sources that have a lot awesome content for you to peruse.

Two weeks ago, a new community dedicated to exploring sexuality in a positive, constructive, open and honest way launched in cyberspace: Opensexual is a community which includes forums, erotica, an awesome blogging portal and educational resources for those focused on "alternative" sexuality such as kink/bdsm, open relationships and polyamory. Their hope is that by addressing these aspects of sexuality and relationships they will become less taboo and more a part of the mainstream.
You can find yours truly over there, blogging and contributing erotica to the site. So far the contributions to the site (not including my own) are very witty, informative and promising for what is to come of this website.

Ah, it's true, I never do get tired of stories about people making ill-advised decisions on what to stick up their asses. Monica Shores provides some amusing commentary on this story from the Telegraph about a religious officiant who had to go to the hospital after he decided to stick a potato up his bum. As the first commenter on the story says, "Flared bases, man flared bases!" Um... yeah? Or, don't put in what you can't pull out like a tampon.

She further reads her piece "San Francisco Values " and reaffirms the beauty of the homo positive, sex positive, accepting values espoused in the gorgeous City by the Bay.

It looks like $pread, just like the rest of Web 2.0, is having some hard economic times. $pread magazine and the $pread blog are really valuable and amazing outlets that contribute a lot to the conversation about sexuality and sex work/workers.
It would be a damn shame to see them disappear, so I encourage all of you out there reading to pop over to $pread and donate to help them keep up the hustle. I, myself, am going to scrape together $$ so I can have a bag AND a magnet AND the magazine. (Meaning I'm making a couple of donations.) The writers on the staff of $pread are so generous with their time and so very intelligent - I want to help in any way that I can.
